Lincoln Cathedral from the South West (1845)

A fine topological view of the Cathedral from the old County Hospital looking across the roofs and treetops

The colours are quiet and subdued yet rich in tone, giving an impression of calm. The painting is a highly accurate view in both architectural detail and perspective.
